This dark brown impasto olla with ribs was used as a funerary urn to hold the ashes from the cremation of bodies.
A good example of the impasto ware production, especially of funerary vessels, most of which discovered inside the chamber tombs around the Etruscan cities of Vulci or Volsinii.
