Gilbert Albert was a jeweller from Switzerland. In 1962, he founded his jewellery business and opened his atelier. Following that, he created art jewellery, mostly in 18-karat gold with rough-cut stones and unusual materials such as fossilised dinosaur bones and hardened lava rocks.
Albert was well-known for his unconventional use of materials, including scarabs, meteorites, lava rocks, and dinosaur bones. He used to say that “in the enchanted world of jewellery, every piece must be original in its execution”
