A rare, large hand carved stone mortar with rounded shape and two handles which adorn the upper exterior rim.
Both handles are carved with faces of lions.
The whole outside part is decorated with flowers and buds.
Once used to grind various ingredients for cooking or medicinal purposes, nicely sized standing at 15cm in height.
This piece is nicely weighted and has a lovely patina.
