Tetradrachm of the King of Thrace.

Period / Age: ca. 305 - 281 BC

Provenance: English private collection.

Obverse: diademed head of Alexander the Great facing right, with horn of Ammon.
Reverse: BAΣIΛEΩΣ/ΛYΣIMAXOY, Athena, helmeted, seated facing left, holding Nike and resting her left arm on a shield at her side. Behind her rests a spear. There is a monogram over a star in the inner left field.

Well-struck and of excellent style, lightly toned, good very fine to nearly extremely fine.
